We will mainly focus on the following linguistic items: (1) the main verb or modal auxiliary in a sentence (e.g. Is, Can, Challenge, appear); (2) proclaiming, possiblity, or frequency adverbs (e.g. Indeed, Generally) and sometimes such adjectives; and (3) countering and conditional conjunctions (e.g. Although, When).
